What we inspect
Moisture rarely makes sense from one meter reading.
We look for patterns, defects and relationships between the building fabric, weather exposure, ventilation, ground levels and the readings collected inside.
Moisture mapping
Surface and radio-frequency readings are compared across affected and unaffected areas to establish the distribution of moisture.
Condensation assessment
Relative humidity, internal conditions, ventilation and cold surfaces are considered where condensation or mould may be involved.
Timber moisture testing
Accessible timber can be tested using pin readings where moisture, decay or prolonged wetting is suspected.
Thermal imaging
Thermal patterns can help locate temperature anomalies and support other findings when site conditions make the images meaningful.
Practical recommendations
Written reports explain the likely causes, supporting evidence and sensible repair priorities without tying the advice to a treatment sale.

Do you carry out the remedial work?
No. Damp Surveys UK provides independent surveys and reports. Our advice is not influenced by selling a treatment or repair.
How much does a survey cost?
Survey fees are fixed in advance and depend on the property, location, scope and reporting required. Contact us with the postcode and a short description for a price.
Will thermal imaging find every leak?
No. Thermal imaging displays temperature differences, not moisture itself. We use it alongside inspection and moisture testing when the conditions make it useful.
How quickly will I receive the report?
Written reports are normally delivered within 3–5 working days. If you have a deadline, tell us before booking and we will confirm what is possible.
